9 Months - Catch Me If You Can

I turned 9 months old on Tuesday. I gave Mom a real challenge in taking my picture. Now that I'm mobile, I don't have time to sit around for picture taking.

On Friday I had my 9 month well-visit. I'm now 28.5" tall and 20 lb 3 oz. Not bad for a guy who came into this world at 19.5", 9 lb. The doctor had to get out the more advanced scale since I'm too wiggley for the little baby one now. Mom was really proud of me for doing so well with my shot. After the doctor, my Friday got much better. We headed over to a playdate with Elianna, Paige, Brendan, and Maura. Then we went to a consignment sale where I got a toy drum and antique toy camera. The camera is the film type - totally old fashioned.

I loathe diaper changes and getting dressed. I just don't have time for it and it is cold. I wiggle, twist, and squirm to get away. I'm often successful. My caretakers need to be fast, creative, and very good performers. I do like some good "This Old Man" while I'm getting clean.

I'm not too fond of my car seat either. I've never been. Why should I be, stuck looking at the back of the seat many times by myself, stuck listening to ancient 80's music?!  Once we get to our destination and the straps are off, I can quickly flip and crawl out on my own.

Alden crawling away from his 9 month birthday photo session... I will not sit and look at the camera...

...fine if I sit still for one moment, can I go back to playing?

Bog Breath

Last week my pumpkin project book was due. I had to do a book report and make a pumpkin look like a character from the book. I chose "Dog Breath." It is about a dog with really stinky breath. They almost got rid of the dog, but she became a hero. She saved her family from some bad guys.

We had an open house on Friday so parents could come see our projects.

Dog Breath

I really like Nerf. I got to pick out one at Target this weekend for a belated birthday gift from Mommy and Daddy.

I typically cry at hair cuts or demand to wear googles, but tonight I was ok. I didn't cry.

Mommy and I got my pumpkin book project done tonight. I had to make a pumpkin look like a character in a book. We rocked the glue gun. We made the dog's bad breath out of stuffing Betty had pulled out of her dog bed. Creative!

Feeling Corny

On Saturday, Mommy and Trent took a Day of the Dead art class. They learned about the holiday and got to decorate their own skulls.

On Sunday we went to our first dog birthday. Bella across the street turned 4, so she had a park doggie playdate. Lucky her- we haven't done anything for Betty turning one yet.

We also went to our first pumpkin patch of the season.
