Comfort

Alden gets upset in the mornings that he has to go to preschool. He whines about it during breakfast.  It's really strange because when we look at the photographs of his class in action he looks like he is having fun. His teachers also say he does great.

Alden likes to retreat to "nap" when he wants comfort. He's done this when he's been left with people besides Mom and Dad. He even has a "nap" routine when he gets to school in the morning. We walk into the classroom. Mom sets down my bucket and I watch on. Mom gets out the blue beanbag. Then they pick out a book. Next Alden lays down on the beanbag and Mom tucks him in with a blanket from the classroom dolls and the book. After a few smooches we then take off. The report is Alden stays "napping" for a bit after we leave and gets up when he is ready. When he is ready he joins the class and has a grand old time.

This is quite ironic given Alden skips a nap most days! He still has to do quiet time though. Me, I take my naps.

Alden also likes to play with his hair and Mom's hair, but he's outgrowing play with Mom's hair a bit.

Napping at school.

Forgot to share this one before - Alden and his friends doing their New Year's toast.

Carrots are great for the complexion.

First time riding in a car together (sans car seat bucket).

Bog Breath

Last week my pumpkin project book was due. I had to do a book report and make a pumpkin look like a character from the book. I chose "Dog Breath." It is about a dog with really stinky breath. They almost got rid of the dog, but she became a hero. She saved her family from some bad guys.

We had an open house on Friday so parents could come see our projects.

Dog Breath

I really like Nerf. I got to pick out one at Target this weekend for a belated birthday gift from Mommy and Daddy.

I typically cry at hair cuts or demand to wear googles, but tonight I was ok. I didn't cry.

Mommy and I got my pumpkin book project done tonight. I had to make a pumpkin look like a character in a book. We rocked the glue gun. We made the dog's bad breath out of stuffing Betty had pulled out of her dog bed. Creative!

Feeling Corny

On Saturday, Mommy and Trent took a Day of the Dead art class. They learned about the holiday and got to decorate their own skulls.

On Sunday we went to our first dog birthday. Bella across the street turned 4, so she had a park doggie playdate. Lucky her- we haven't done anything for Betty turning one yet.

We also went to our first pumpkin patch of the season.
